About Me

I'm Radu Stochitoiu, a Senior Software Engineer at Google based in Zurich, Switzerland. With a Master's in Artificial Intelligence and extensive experience in software engineering, I specialize in applying AI technologies to create impactful solutions that improve people's lives.

At Google, I've worked across multiple teams including Collaborative Advertising and Merchant Growth, focusing on API management, backend development, data infrastructure, and privacy-aware integrations. I enjoy building scalable systems and analyzing complex datasets to drive product decisions.

Before joining Google full-time, I completed two software engineering internships at Google and one at Bloomberg LP. I also spent nearly five years as a Teaching Assistant at the University Politehnica of Bucharest, where I helped students master Computer Programming (C), Numerical Methods (MATLAB), Data Structures (C++), and Computer Architecture (Verilog).

I'm passionate about open-source software and participated in Google Summer of Code, where I implemented support for importing and exporting OVF/OVA standardized Virtual Machines for GNOME Boxes. In my research work, I've published on cloud-edge computing and developed predictive models for COVID-19 in Romania.

When I'm not coding, I enjoy reading across diverse topics from technical literature to philosophy and fiction. I'm also committed to continuous learning, as evidenced by my various certifications in Deep Learning.
